Here is one thing the photo must contain, the humanity of the moment.

(Robert Frank)

In the gardens of the Biltmore Estate, I recently had the joyous opportunity to photograph a portrait session that overflowed with laughter, warmth, and the breathtaking beauty of God's creation. Lizzie is an amazing and incredible woman of God, so when she asked me to capture these moments I was immediately on board.

A verse that keeps coming up as I am writing this is Ecclesiastes 3:1, "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven." This captures our time together perfectly, as she is about to get to walk into a new season of life.

From the moment we began, laughter and the song Enchanted by Taylor Swift were the anthems for the evening as we ventured through fields and paths in the gardens lined with beautiful flowers. Throughout the session and reflecting back now I think of the verse, Matthew 18:4, "Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." We were frolicking in the fields and rolling around in grass. It reminded me of that childlike personality in the best way.

We captured moments that radiated with genuine joy and authenticity. Each click of the camera preserved expressions of unbridled happiness and contentment. Whether twirling in the soft grass or pausing to admire the intricate beauty of a flower in bloom, every interaction with the surroundings reflected a deep appreciation for the splendor of God's creation.

The Biltmore Estate provides an incredible canvas—a symphony of blooming gardens and the fresh breeze blowing through. Against this backdrop, we sought to capture not just photographs, but memories that would evoke a sense of joy and gratitude for years to come.

To Lizzie, thank you for allowing me to capture these precious moments. May these photographs serve as a timeless reminder of His goodness and faithfulness as you walk in obedience in this season. He is right there with you. I can't wait to see what He does next.
